Boujemaa is a family run Berber camp in the Agafay desert, about 45 minutes from Marrakech. Low tents, woven rugs and shaded terraces look out over the stone desert and the Atlas foothills, with nothing else around.

You come here for a meal. Moroccan salads, tagine and bread are served under the big tent or on the terrace, at your own pace, with tea. In the evening the camp lights the fire, musicians play, and a fire show follows the dinner.

The camp has no swimming pool. Camel rides, quads and buggies run from the same spot and can be arranged for you, and the sunset over the hills is the reason most people stay to the end of the afternoon.
