Essaouira Day Trip

The Essaouira day trip takes you from Marrakech to the Atlantic coast, about 2.5 hours away, for a day in a walled port town known for its historic medina, its lively fishing harbour and the ocean breeze. You travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver, reserved for your party only.

Departure from your hotel or riad is around 8:30. The road crosses the Moroccan countryside, and a stop at an argan oil cooperative is possible on the way. You reach Essaouira around 11:30 and have 3 to 4 hours of free time in town, then the driver takes you back to Marrakech. Count on a full day.

In Essaouira you explore on your own: the medina and its souks, the city walls, the harbour and the beach for a walk along the ocean. Lunch is free time in a local restaurant, where fresh fish and seafood are on many menus. The meal and drinks are paid separately.
