Ourika Valley Day Trip

The Ourika Valley day trip takes you out of Marrakech to a green valley in the foothills of the High Atlas, about one hour's drive south of the city. You travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle with your own professional driver, so the day runs at the pace of your party and nobody else joins the car.

The driver collects you from your hotel or riad around 9:30 and brings you back to Marrakech in the late afternoon: the day lasts 7 to 9 hours depending on the day. On the way up the valley the road passes rural countryside and Berber villages, and stops such as an argan cooperative can be made along the route. Higher up, an easy walk leads toward the Ourika waterfalls. The path is short and taken at a comfortable pace, although the hike suits people in good physical condition best.

Lunch is not included. Restaurants line the river in the valley, and you choose where and when to eat. Drinks are also at your own expense.

The trip suits families and travellers of all ages. Wear comfortable shoes for the waterfall path. If your hotel is more than 10 km from the city centre, a transport supplement of 100 MAD per booking applies, and you can add it in the booking form.
