Agafay Desert Jeep Tour

The Agafay Jeep tour is a 2-hour off-road ride in the stony desert 30 to 45 minutes from Marrakech, in a vintage Jeep with a local guide. Rocky trails, desert plains and bare hills make up a moon-like landscape that a 4x4 crosses easily.

You are collected from your hotel or riad in Marrakech and driven to the departure point in the desert. The guided ride then follows the trails of Agafay for about two hours, with several stops at panoramic viewpoints for photos and a break for mint tea in a desert bivouac. A round-trip transfer brings you back to your accommodation, so plan 3 to 4 hours in total.

• Price: 850 MAD per Jeep, for up to 4 people. A party of 5 to 8 books two Jeeps.

No driving licence is needed: a driver takes the wheel. Children can join as passengers, which makes the tour a good choice for families. You can also book on your own, at the Jeep price. Wear closed shoes and clothes suited to the desert.
