Horseback Riding in the Marrakech Palm Grove

This horse ride takes place in the Palmeraie, the palm grove on the edge of Marrakech, which makes it an easy outing to fit into a family stay in the city. Transport is included: an air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your hotel or riad, the transfer takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and the whole outing lasts about 2.5 hours. Prefer the open desert? On arrival, the team matches you with a horse, adjusts your equipment and gives a short safety briefing (15 to 20 minutes). The guided ride then lasts about one hour, along natural trails lined with palm trees, desert paths and quiet rural areas. Afterwards you relax with a traditional mint tea before heading back.

The ride is calm and no experience is needed, so it suits beginners, couples and families. Children can ride from about 5 years old, accompanied by an adult.

Included: the guided ride, the horse and safety equipment, a professional guide, the mint tea break and round-trip transport from Marrakech, usually shared in a small group. A 100 MAD supplement may apply if your hotel is more than 10 km from the city centre. Meals, extra drinks and photos or videos are not included. The price is per person, and payment is made on site on the day.
