Quad Biking in the Marrakech Palm Grove: Off-Road Adventure

Quad biking in Marrakech does not have to mean a long drive: this ride takes place in the Palm Grove (Palmeraie), the palm oasis just outside the city centre. The transfer from your hotel or riad takes about 15 to 20 minutes in an air-conditioned vehicle, and the whole outing lasts about 3 hours. Prefer the open desert? After a 20-minute welcome and safety briefing, where you get familiar with your quad, a professional guide leads a small group on a 2-hour ride. The route follows desert tracks through palm groves and traditional villages, with photo stops along the way and a 15-minute mint tea break in a local setting.

You do not need a driving licence. Beginners get a full introduction before setting off, and experienced riders are welcome too. The minimum age to drive is 16; passengers are welcome.

You can ride your own quad, priced per person, or share one quad between two people, with one price for the quad. Quad rental, a helmet and safety equipment, the guide, the mint tea and round-trip transport from Marrakech are included. A 100 MAD supplement may apply if your hotel is more than 10 km from the city centre. Meals, extra drinks and photos or videos are not included. Payment is made on site on the day.

Agafay or the Palm Grove: which to choose? Both options give you 2 hours on a quad with a guide and a tea break. The Palm Grove is the closer and cheaper choice, with shorter transfers and scenery of palm trees and villages.
